Power quality & conditioning

Cleaner power. Cooler motors. Longer equipment life.

Power conditioning works like a water filter for your electricity. Cleaner, steadier power helps motors run cooler, last longer and waste less.

The problem

What is “dirty” power?

Power you pay for but can’t use: like paying for a full cup and getting half foam. That’s what a low power factor does.

Spikes, dips and electrical “noise” make motors run hot. Heat wears out parts. Some utilities also charge extra when your power factor is low.

  • Balances power across all three phases
  • Improves power factor, fewer utility penalties
  • Filters harmonics (electrical noise)
  • Protects against surges, sags and phasing problems
  • Passive and maintenance-free, ~15–20 year life
  • Works with VFDs and control systems

For engineers: how USES works
USES (Universal Shunt Efficiency System) uses passive, resonance-free magnetic phase balancing, power factor correction and harmonic filtering, with self-healing magnetic chokes and metal-oxide varistors for surge/spike protection. Units are placed across the facility based on operational demand rather than custom-built per load. Best results on inductive loads (motors, compressors, pumps). We verify kW, kWh, PF and THD before and after with Eniscope.

FAQ

Questions people ask

What does power conditioning do?

It cleans up and steadies the electricity going to your equipment. Think of it as a water filter for your power. Motors run cooler and last longer.

Who is it best for?

Buildings with lots of motors, compressors, pumps and refrigeration: plants, cold storage, grocery and large kitchens.

How do I know it works in my building?

We measure before and after with Eniscope, so you see the real result in your own data.

Does it need maintenance?

USES units are passive and maintenance-free, with an expected life of about 15–20 years.
